This piston for OE cylinders is equipped with piston rings that ensure lower friction with the cylinder and thus higher performance.
Athena pays meticulous attention to every detail in the development of its pistons: The rings are manufactured in Japan with wear-resistant coatings (PVD or chromium nitride) to increase durability and service life. The rings adapt perfectly to the cylinder liner even under low tangential loads.
This piston kit includes the piston, the pin, the retaining rings, and the piston rings. All components are replaceable as needed and are interchangeable with one another.
All Athena products manufactured with a larger displacement and higher power output than permitted by the road traffic regulations of the users country are intended exclusively for competition use. Athena declines all responsibility for any use of the product that violates national regulations.
The warranty of conformity does not apply to products intended for competitive sports or used in high-performance or high-speed applications, unless there is a clear case of defectiveness.
